CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course

This one day course is designed to help those who are about to work, or have just begun to work, in the industry to understand the potential hazards they face on site wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card. The HSA course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on site. Delegates must be competent in English at operative level. This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations.

The course content is suited to all ability levels. A natural progression from this course would be to attend the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course.

• Electrical Safety, tools and equipment
• Site Transport Safety
• Lifting Operations and Equipment
• Working at Height
• Excavations & Confined Space
• Environmental Awareness
• Pollution, Waste Materials and Nuisance

Upon successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a CITB Construction Skills e-Certificate of Training, valid for a period of 5 years from the course date.

Once this course has been successfully completed, delegates are then able to apply for the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Touch Screen Test. This will enable them to then apply for a CSCS Green Labourers Card.
